1. You can recruit affiliates at your site, however you should not display a direct link to an affiliate sign up on your product page.

This would allow potential customers to bypass the affiliate who brought them to your site, sign up and purchase under their own link. Some solutions

  • Make the sign up link more difficult to find, e.g. on an FAQ page
  • Only allow affiliation to purchasers or those who can make a convincing case for being an affiliate
  • Have a separate product page, without the sign up link, to which affiliate links point

2. List your program on affiliate program directory sites (you can find free ones that make their money through second tier affiliate commissions).

3. Advertise in ezines focused on affiliate marketing.

4. Track down the affiliates of your competitors by finding who is linking to their sites.

5. If you sell with ClickBank then submit your site to the ClickBank Marketplace, making your affiliate program available to the huge ClickBank affiliate force.
